Vita Grain Pte Ltd (Vitagrain) has been founded in the face of an emerging global food and nutrition crisis. The business will take advantage of proprietary rice varieties to deliver both short and medium-long term supply of affordable, culturally acceptable and nutritionally superior rice to the global market.
The Management of Vitagrain, through their collective experience and ethos, believe that they are uniquely placed to deliver a commercially viable business, advocating the improvement of food security and nutrition in both developing and developed nations.
Vitagrain was incorporated to act as the ultimate holding company for intellectual property developed by Dr Abed Chaudhury. Dr Chaudhury sought funding to develop the creation of a Low Glycemic Index (GI) rice variety that presents an innovation in food nutrition.
Vitagrain’s goal is to be a global leader in the supply of Low GI rice, both for consumption and seed for cultivation.
